Stamping

This art project was about stamping. To do this project we first started out carving designs into a rectangle piece of stryofoam. We then used rollers and rolled ink over the piece of foam. We then pressed the template into colored paper. We did a railroad theme so we made railroad cars out of the rectangular stamps. We then drew in a background and setting.

An extension of this activity would be to have your students do a research activity on stamping and it history and make a poster about it to share with the class.
