Cool and Warm Colors

This project was done to introduce students to warm and cool colors. This project is called a hidden drawing. The picture is hidden, and you need special glasses to see the picture. The project is done by drawing a picture in a light cool color. We used a light sky blue color. Our theme was a hidden safari, so we all drew pictures of safari animals. After we were done with the drawing we drew over the picture with warm colors like reds, oranges, and yellows. We drew over the picture in shapes in a pattern form to hide the drawing. We also wrote three clues to be displayed with our animals for people to guess.
An extension activity to be down with this is to have your students write a creative writing story about their animal. Their writings then would be displayed with their drawing.
